Shri  Ajit Kumar Saxena
Chairman-cum-Managing Director

Shri Ajit Kumar Saxena holds B. Tech degree from Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University in Metallurgy and also acquired MBA degree.

He has over 36 years of experience in Steel Sector with wide experience in technical, operational and project management areas. 

He started his career as a Management Trainee (Technical), SAIL in 1986. He worked in various assignments in SAIL starting with Bhilai Steel Plant and worked in various positions during his long tenure in SAIL. 

Earlier, he has worked as Director (Operations) of RINL-Vishakhapatnam Steel Plant, Chief General Manager, Mills, IISCO, Burnpur, Steel Authority of India Ltd.

He has received “Young Metallurgy of the year Award’’ for the year 2000 from Ministry of Steel, Govt. of India.

Shri  Rakesh Tumane
Director (Finance)

Shri Rakesh Tumane is a Computer Science Engineer from NIT, Nagpur. He has done MBA in Finance from MDI, Gurgaon, MBA in Strategy. He is also a Fellow Member of CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) UK and Global Chartered Management Accountant (GCMA) from AICPA, USA. He has Civil Services background as he belongs to the 95 batch of Indian P&T Accounts and Finance Service.

Before joining MOIL Rakesh Tumane was working as Director (Finance) in “Indian Rare Earths Limited a CPSU under Department of Atomic Energy. Earlier, he was heading the Finance Department of MTNL, Mumbai as General Manager Finance. 

He has vast experience in Financial Strategy, Budgeting & planning and Cost Management.  He also has international exposure of working on projects for elite organizations like BT, PLC and Vodafone PLC in the UK.

He has expertise in raising Finance, Project Evaluation and Corporate Governance.

Smt. Usha Singh
Director (Human Resource)

Ms. Usha Singh is the first Director (HR) of MOIL Limited.

Prior to joining the Company, she was Executive Director (Personnel & Administration) heading Personnel, HRD, CSR, Administration and other related functions at NMDC.  She was also heading the Business Development and Corporate Planning functions in NMDC.

She is an Engineering Graduate and an MBA, who has more than 30 years of professional experience.  She worked for SAIL for around 25 years, out of which she was Technical Advisor to Chairman, SAIL for more than 8 years.

Ms. Singh has been adjudged as one of the top 100 Inspirational Women in Mining globally in 2020 (first time from India).  She has several other awards also to her credit, which includes, ‘SCOPE Outstanding Woman Manager 2017’ and ‘Best Employee Award’ in SAIL.  She has authored and presented several papers in national as well as international conferences.  

Shri Mirza Mohammad Abdulla 
Director(Prod. & Planning) 

Shri Mirza Mohammad Abdulla is a Gold medallist in Mining Engineering and holder of First Class Mine Managers' Certificate of Competency (Unrestricted) under the Mines Act 1952 granted by the Directorate General of Mines Safety, Dhanbad.

He joined MOIL as a Selected Grade Underground Mine Foreman on 15th July 1987 and currently served as General Manager (Mines) of MOIL before taking charge of Director (Production and Planning) of MOIL Ltd.

In the last 34 years of service, he worked in almost all the Mines of MOIL in various capacities and has experience in all mining and its related activities in both underground and opencast mines such as Mine Planning, Development, Mineral Extraction, Ore Beneficiation, Quality Control, Safety Management, Ore Dispatch, e-Tendering, Contract Management, etc.
Shri Abdulla was actively involved in transforming the mining operations, such as Method of Stoping, Strata Control and Mine Supports, filling in underground stopes, loading and transportation in mines, drilling and blasting, etc. from manual to mechanised/semi-mechanised state.

He has attended number of national and international conferences/seminars conducted by various agencies.  He got National Safety Awards, Safety Week Awards and Mine Environment and Mineral Conservation Week Awards for the mines under his charge as Mine Manger.

Ms Rashmi Singh
Director(Commercial)

Ms Rashmi Singh joined Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) as Management Trainee in 1991. She is an MBA with specialisation in Marketing. She has over 32 years of experience in SAIL in varied areas of Sales & Marketing of Steel in domestic sales as well as export markets. She has worked in different verticals of marketing function, encompassing Production Planning, Sales, Policy making, Market Research, Strategic Planning, Risk Management, Trade related matters, etc. As Head of Coal Import Group, Ms Singh was directly responsible for the corporate procurement of Imported Coal which is a significant and critical input for Steel Making.

Ms Singh has been closely involved with finalisation and roll out of Turnaround strategies of SAIL. With her insightful commercial acumen, she has led a great number of initiatives for systemic improvement and boosting sales & revenue. She has been part of panel discussions on number of national and international conferences/seminars on Steel and Coal.

Dr. Sanjay Roy, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Steel, Government of India, belongs to the Indian Information Service (Cadre-1997). He holds a MBBS degree from University College of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He has done foundation course from HCM Rajasthan, Institute of Public Administration in 1997 and got training in media Management and Communication from Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, Australia and Training in Management Skills and Media at Berkely, US.

His has vast experience in administration which includs working as Officer on Special Duty, Information Policy Planning, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Joint Director, North West Zone in Directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of I&B, Director, Jammu & Kashmir Affairs, Ministry of Home Affairs, Director (PMSSY & Director Medical  Education) in Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Presently, he is Joint Secretary in Ministry of Steel , Government of India.

CA Dinesh Kumar Gupta
Independent Director

CA Dinesh Kumar Gupta has carved his niche as Chartered Accountant (CA) to some of the most renowned real estate promoters. He brings in a vast repose of knowledge which is backed up with experience with leading groups. In the process he has been associated with some of the most well-known and respected business leaders and corporate houses.

During his consultancy professions he has consulted various groups mostly Mega Real Estate projects for setting up control system or setting up organization structure. Financing & Investment Decisions formed Joint Ventures, Development Agreements etc. He has headed so many Internal Committee, having vast knowledge of Audit & Finance. With deep knowledge in the stock market, Forex, law matters and finance taxation he is able to face every challenge. He makes every person in understanding the rules and guidelines.

His deriving wealth of knowledge from them benefitting from the interactions with them, which he seeks to bring into his organization. He understands every nuance of the field and brings an intellectual touch to his projects. He has established the well-known real estate group "Samridhi Group"
